Boat Neck Sweater Poncho

Like a lot of Minnesotans, I love our fall season. It is the open door to all the joyous holidays to come, the crisp and cool air, the lovely autumn colors, and the best part, my fall closet! What girl does not love a big baggy sweater while she’s scuffing down her thanksgiving meal? The Loft boat neck sweater poncho that I’m wearing can be paired with any type of jean style from skinnies, to flares, to crops. I paired my sweater with skinny jeans, ankle booties, and my mustard yellow infinity scarf that I got from Target two winters ago. Cozy huh?! This sweater has been my go-to piece this season since it’s so effortlessly easy to be made chic. What is your fall go-to piece?

The understated t-shirt.

The older I get the more I appreciate simplicity. So the thought of styling a basic t-shirt is pure bliss....not to mention so much more comfortable to wear while running after a toddler.

If you think a not so special t-shirt is just too casual, think again! Any simple tee can be made fashionably chic by tucking in either fully or half way. And this will work with just about any type of bottom: everyday jeans, skirts of all types, shorts, slacks, etc. Be creative! A quick shirt tuck here and there will pull an entire outfit together. Not to mention it'll make you look totally put together as well.

I paired my striped tee with an a-line denim skirt, block heeled sandals, and a red saddle bag for a pop of color. Remember, if you are like me, being comfortable is the goal at the end of the day. And, it can be achieved fairly easily with that t-shirt in your closet that you've completely forgotten about. Go ahead...fall back in love with it.
